So I (I mean WE) Watched Deadpool...

So we watched Deadpool yesterday. It's action packed and colossal in awesomeness! I was planning to watch this movie on or before Valentine's day but the girl that I'm asking out said she was busy at work (overtime) so we moved our movie time to next week. It's good that we changed the schedule because the movie theaters are jam packed with people during Valentine's day especially on this Deadpool movie.

Caution: This post contains really unnecessary minor spoilers, but I won't mention the important parts. If you don't want to read any kinds of spoilers don't read the whole post.

As expected from Deadpool, the movie got lots of 4th wall breaking moments, funny cameos and references. The movie starts with a hilarious way of introducing the actors by insulting them in a comedic way, no names of the actors/actresses, just insults.  Ryan Reynolds reprises the role as Deadpool and he nailed it. I can't think of anyone good enough to play the role of Deadpool.

The movie starts with Deadpool riding a cab to hunt the guys that turned him to what he is. And the guy that he wants to kill has a funny real name for a main villain. He encounters the main villain's henchmen and the action starts with Deadpool efficiently shooting the henchmen because he only brought his two handguns without spare mags. After the shoot-out and slicing and dicing, Deadpool tells us his origin story.

His origin story (flash backs) is darker and much serious than his present story but these parts also have mixtures of comedy, dark humor and sex.

After the flash back, he fought some more then he encounters the X-Men members: Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead yes that's her X-Men code name... what a mouthful lol! One of my favorite parts in this movie is where after Colossus tossed Deadpool away, his being thrown away pose transitions to his lame Deadpool (X-Men Origins: Wolverine) action figure (also posed just like he's being thrown) in the flash back. Wow I've been spilling stuff around so I'll stop here.

The movie just like I said earlier is action packed, brutal with decapitations and wall-splat, it also contains nudity so it's not good for little kids. I like how they animated the eyes on Deadpool's mask, meaning it opens wide and squints (and no, his mask doesn't blink) just like in the comics. It's really good and adds more comedy in scenes because we can still see his facial expressions (minus the mouth) even when behind the mask.

It's also great that Colossus have more role in this movie. BTW even though Colossus is animated he looks more just like the Colossus in the comics, huge and bulky so it's cool. It's disappointing that they only included two X-Men members in the movie, which Deadpool hilariously pointed out.

The fight scenes are great even when there few super heroes and villains in the movie. This is good because we can focus on their fights more instead of a scene of total chaos full of heroes and villains fighting each other.

Well that's all I can share to you guys, because if I continue, I might spill the juicy stuff. I recommend that you watch this movie. You won't be disappointed whether you're a comic book fan or just a normal, casual person that just wanted to watch an action movie for a change in this month of love. Also when you watch super hero movies, don't forget to finish the credits first to watch the extra bits at the end.

Cheers!
