Pokemon Go: Trainer Tips for a Safe Journey

I'm having a Pokemon craze right now because of the Pokemon Go app.. I'll say this is a great and fun app by Niantic (app devs), The Pokemon Company and Nintendo, they woke up my inner Pokemon Trainer self and love of Pokemon related stuff (games, TCGs and cartoon show). I know you have the app too, well most of you guys who have an iOS and Android device (Kitkat ver. and higher) so let me help you on your Pokemon Go journey by giving you some safety tips and advice.

Safety first
The app never forgets to remind you to mind your surroundings while playing. Those reminders are limited though, because there are lots of hazards everywhere, including us... yes, us! Because we tend to ignore everyone's advice and have an accident after. This accidents can be funny or life threatening like the idiot I saw on Youtube that's driving his own car while playing Pokemon Go. I saw him let go of the wheel just to catch one Pokemon. I know he's driving slow but he can still kill someone or an animal (by running over them) by not looking at the road while driving.

The circle thing around your avatar is important, because that's your reach range. The devs probably put that in the game so that you won't go wandering aimlessly outside that much like you unknowingly went on the center of the road full of incoming traffic just to catch Pokemon, for example. If you saw a Pokemon you haven't caught on the center of the road and it's out of your range or in your range, don't go there. You will catch that Pokemon somewhere safe anyway and what's more important, a digital critter or your life?

Stay alert at all times
Being aware of your surroundings is not enough because something or someone might pop out randomly like incoming projectiles (balls, falling debris and other throwable objects), people, bikers, skateboarders, etc. once you're done checking the space around you. Always stay alert, stop a few times, look around and go.

It's not safe to go alone (well that depends on you)
If you want to go alone, it's fine, just mind your surroundings and don't go to the city's dangerous parts or someone's property without permission. But It's more fun to have friends go along with you on your Pokemon journey and it's safer because you have buddies to look after you, you also need to look after them too. If you have friends with you, you'll be less likely to have an encounter with Team Rocket (more on that later).

For kids, have your parents and/or your older siblings go with you. I have to break it to you little kids, the world is a really dangerous place especially for a kid.

Team Rocket
Better watch out for Team Rocket! You know, they're bad guys who steals someone's Pokemon. Well in real world they're muggers, robbers and snatchers. If they saw you preoccupied while playing Pokemon Go, they'll use that opportunity to steal your smartphone, they might also beat you up and steal your money too, or worse...

There you go, I hope you take my advice/tips seriously. Now go on your Pokemon Go journey and have fun!

Cheers!
